Obituary of Darcy Dale KNOCK

November 4, 1978 – January 22, 2019 Darcy Knock, beloved husband, father, son and brother, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at the age of 40 years. He was born to Dan and Darla Knock (nee Rietze) on November 4th, 1978 in Calgary, Alberta. Darcy grew up in Airdrie, AB and graduated from George McDougall High School. He later set roots in Innisfail, AB where he started his career in oil and gas. Darcy married Amanda (nee Spotswood) on August 21st, 2004 and was blessed with three beautiful children, Kaylin Gracie, Logan Hunter and Zayne Daniel, and man’s best friend Chomper. Darcy worked hard for what he accomplished. He established his own company Critical Inc. in 2006 and not long after set up his home away from home, in Hardisty AB, where he spent the past eight years building his company and contracting for Gibsons Energy. Darcy was a true outdoorsman, hunting, fishing, skidooing, camping, you name it. He loved to teach people his outdoor skills and everything he knew. Family, friends or strangers, he’d help anyone. Darcy was a fun loving, hardworking, selfless man with a finely tuned, well timed knack for sarcasm. He always put his whole heart into helping his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all of the lives he touched. Darcy is survived by his wife Amanda; his children Kaylin, Logan and Zayne; his parents Dan and Darla Knock; his sisters Pam (Dustin) and Kelsey (Alfie); his grandmas Dorothy Rietze and Marilyn Knock; his nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many close friends. Darcy was predeceased by his grandpas Fred Knock and Al Rietze. Funeral Services will be held at Town and Country Center ) on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. with reception to follow . If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the trust fund that has been set up by Darcy’s sister, Pam Tremblay in trust for Kaylin, Logan and Zayne at any ATB Branch.
