Obituary of CURRIE – Sidney Charles

September 4, 1923 – April 18, 2010 Currie – Sidney (Sid) C. beloved husband of Olive J., passed away peacefully at Bethany Care Calgary on Sunday April 18, 2010 at the age of 86 years. Besides his loving wife, Sid is survived by two sons, Shaune C. (Katie and grandson Erick) and Shaene B., both of Calgary, Alberta. He was predeceased by his infant son Laune in 1955. Sid was well known in the Water Treatment Industry, was an associate member of the Institute of Power Engineers and a lifetime member of the Canadian Professional Sales Association. Sid was a Master Mason in Crescent Lodge #87, G.R.A., the Scottish Rite Calgary Lodge of Perfection, Delta Chapter of Rose Croix, Southalta Consistory and was a member of the Al Azhar Shrine Temple of Calgary. At Sid’s request there will be no funeral. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend visitation with Sid’s urn at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) in the Tuxedo Chapel on both Thursday, April 22 and Friday April 23 between 10:00 A.M. and 7:00 P.M.
