Obituary of WODYNSKI – Regina

June 30, 1922 – April 16, 2010 Regina Wodynski of Calgary passed away at the Rockyview General Hospital on Friday, April 16, 2010 at the age of 87 years. Regina was born in Warsaw, Poland and immigrated to Calgary in 1948 where she met and married Zygmunt “Alexander” Wodynski. She worked at the Calgary General Hospital for many years and enjoyed looking after her beautiful flowers and garden at home. In the past Regina was an active member of the Polish Community including the Polish Church and the Polish Seniors. Regina will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Shirley (Ron) Wake of Langdon, AB; son Ed (Pat) Wodynski; grandchildren Tai, Mikaila, and Shaun (Leona); great-granddaughter Lidia all of Calgary, relatives in Poland and many special friends. She was predeceased by her husband Alex Wodynski in January 1981. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Wednesday Today, April 21, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady Queen of Peace Polish Catholic Church (2111 Uxbridge Drive N.W.) on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Services to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
