Obituary of EVANGELISTA – Donato Leonardo

June 14, 1929 – April 16, 2010 Donato (Dan) Evangelista of Calgary passed away on Friday, April 16, 2010 at the age of 80 years. Donato was born in Sessano, Campobosso, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1955 with his brother John and begin a new life for his wife and son who joined him later in 1959. Dan was known for his upbeat, positive attitude and took everything on with a committed passionate approach. He always had a warm smile for everyone. Donato is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Donna Evangelista; three grandsons, Michael, Christopher and Steven Evangelista; and a brother and sister-in-law Michele and Antonietta Evangelista all of Calgary as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife of fifty-seven years, Antonietta on January 23, 2010. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church (640 – 19th Avenue N.W.) on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church (640 – 19th Avenue N.W.) on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at 11:30 am.
