Shirley, Geoff, and family…my deepest condolences on the passing of Chester. We will miss his physical presence and support at the curling rink, but know he’s there in spirit! Thinking of you all…Randy.
My condolences to the family. I have great memories of working for Chester in Canada with Chevron. He was a man of few words but with a wonderful sharp wit and a lot of common sense. Chester was a mentor to many of us who went onto fantastic career and life experiences in the oil industry. My thoughts are with everyone on the memories of a great individual.

Dear Shirley Geoff and family
Although we can’t be with you in person our thoughts and prayers are. Chester was always the big couisin who was always so good to my own mom and whom she wanted me to be like. We will all miss him.

To the Holmlund family
I worked with Chester on the Chevron Hibernia project plus others in Western Canada; he was a fine engineer and a great person to work alongside.
Our thoughts and prayers we extend to you.

Shirley
My sincere condolences to you, and your family, on the loss of Chester. Chester was probably my all time favourite boss. I worked with Chester as a technologist from 1978 to 1980 in the Calgary office. I was new and he took me under his wing. He had a huge impact on my life, encouraging me to return to U of A and finish off my engineering degree, which I did. I did not return to Chevron when I graduated and only saw him occasionally, but never forgot him. I have many fond memories of him and often wondered how he was and what he was doing. He was my roll model for the perfect boss and none after ever quite met the standard he set. I shall never forget his “Oh very well” – and still use the same phrase often myself. He shall be missed by many.
Take care,
Sam Coles
