Obituary of ROBERTSON – Kenneth Wayne

April 18, 1954 – April 14, 2010 Ken Robertson (“KR”), beloved husband of Wanda of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, April 14, 2010, four days prior to his 56th birthday. Ken was born in Kinistino, SK and was raised on the family farm in the Weldon district. Following his graduation, he worked during the summers at the Kenosee Lake Golf Course. In 1981, Ken moved to Calgary, where he began his career in the oil and gas industry. He was a Seismic Permit Agent for twenty years before becoming a licensed Surface Land Agent and started his own company, Wrangler Land Services Ltd. Ken will be remembered as a man whose humour and good-nature left a lasting impression with everyone he met. He was a dedicated Toronto Maple Leaf Fan which is evident by all the memorabilia decorating the family home. Ken also looked forward to the Calgary Stampede every year counting down the days until he could attend the rodeo and chucks as much as possible. Ken is survived by his wife Wanda; his daughter Lauren Robertson; and his son Michael Robertson, all of Calgary. He is also survived by his parents, Merle and Anna Robertson of Weldon, SK; two brothers and one sister, Howard (Meridee) Robertson of Weldon, SK, Dan (Toni-Lynn) Robertson of Sparwood, BC, Bonnie (Neil) Ball of Weldon, SK; his parents-in-law, Ken and Eleanor Wilson; and brother-in-law David Wilson of Calgary; and eight nieces and nephews, Jeff, Shawn, Matt, Colleen, Erin, Presley, Dylan and Skyler. Funeral Services will be held at the Weldon Lutheran Church, Weldon, Saskatchewan on the 26th of April, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. An Open House will follow in Calgary at a later date.
