Condolences
We are deeply sadened in the news of Joan’s passing. Joan volunteered her time at CUPS Community Health Centre over the years, and through this, touch the lives of many of our clients and staff. We are extremely grateful for her time spent in our centre.
Our deepest condolences,
“friends” at CUPS Health and Education Centres.
I had the pleasure of knowing Joan when her daughters Denise & Michelle were in Girl Guides. I will always remember her sparkling and warm personality. In my eyes, Joan was a wonderful Mother and I so enjoyed having known her. I am sure the memories the family has of her, will give them the strength to go forward.
Some of my memories of Auntie Jo:
I remember that she made the best meringue cookies. I remember the coffee she added to chocolate cake icing. I remember her eating tiger ice cream in the motor home while vacationing with her two sisters in Penticton. I remember her singing Christmas carols. I remember her home as warm and inviting to all that entered. I remember the love and joy she had for her children.
To my cousins Denise, Jamie, Michelle, Randy and Mara please accept my heartfelt sympathies for the loss of your mother.
To my mother, Joyce, I extend all my love and support for the loss of your sister.
Share some memories of Auntie Jo.
Love from Tod, Shelly and Lorrie Raines
To Jamie McCreary and Family,
Although no words can really help to ease the loss you bear, just know that you are very close in every thought and prayer.
With our deepest sympathy, your Empire Family

To Joan’s family,
I am deeply sorry to hear of Joan’s passing. My sincere condolences to each of you. I had the privilege of working with Joan at R.T. Alderman, and we became good friends over the years. She cared passionately about her students, and she also did everything she could to help ease her co-workers’ stress. She was funny, warm, helpful, thoughtful, always professional, a strong advocate for any who had lost their own voice, and a true friend. The world is definitely a better place for her having been here. Rest gently, dear friend.
Our deepest sympathies to all the McCreary clan. We will all miss Joan. Her zest for life and amazing warmth will be missed by anyone that was fortunate enough to know her.
Unfortunately we are unable to attend the memorial service on Friday but our thoughts and love will be with you all.
To Michele, Mara and the entire family, we send our deepest love and support to you. Your mother must have been an incredible person to have raised such an amazing, loving family.
We think of you daily.
Jamie and Sue and the McCreary family, my prayers and thoughts are with you at this time. Your mom is at home with our savior. God bless all of you at this time. Terry Spooner and family
My deepest sympathies to Joan’s family and friends. Very sorry to hear of her passing. She is leaving the world a strong and loving legacy in her children and grand children.
I am saddened to learn of Joan’s passing. I worked with Joan at R.T. Alderman Jr. High. I remember her well; her caring, and her utmost professionalism. Her great smile was a constant and encouraged me everyday. I know you, her family, will miss her in so many ways. Heartfelt sympathy is extended to each of you.
