Obituary of PENMAN – Shirley Marie

April 19, 1934 – April 13, 2010 Shirley Penman of Calgary passed away on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at the age of 75 years. She will be greatly missed by her children, Duane (Della), Deana, Aaron; her grandchildren, Perry, Jade, Russell and Bradley as well as her godchildren and numerous family and friends. Shirley was predeceased by her loving husband Dave. Shirley was born and raised in the Czar Alberta area. She married David Penman in 1954. They lived in Edmonton until 1961 when Dave was transferred to Calgary. Shirley endured her chronic illness and pain with a sense of humour, great strength and courage. Shirley was the center of her family and lived to spend time with her children and grandchildren. We wish to acknowledge the caring staff at the Bethany Care Centre Cochrane as well as Dr. Martha MacDonnell who provided Shirley with many years of exceptional care. A celebration of Shirley’s life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Crowfoot Chapel (82 CROWFOOT CIRCLE N.W.) on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Graveside Service in Czar Cemetery (Czar, AB) to be held at a later date.
