Obituary of MORRIS – Royden Bernard

August 1, 1929 – April 13, 2010 Pete passed away peacefully in Calgary on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at the age of 80 years with his loving wife of fifty-nine years Jean by his side. Pete was born in Vancouver on August 1, 1929. Pete began working toward his Geological Degrees at UBC, eventually completing them while working in the Alberta Oil patch with his brother Rod. Pete started his own Geological Supply and Service Company, Petrocraft Products. He developed many innovative products for oilfield geologists earning him several patents. He was a member of the Jubilee Lodge number 173 holding the office of Worshipful Master. Throughout his life he enjoyed many activities including hunting, skiing, fishing, he was a talented artist and spent many hours on his boat in Victoria. After retiring he owned and restored many fine automobiles. Pete is survived by his beloved wife Jean, son Dan, daughter Tracey (Chris) Soby, grandson Nathan, nephew Joe and wife Maureen and niece Mary Jane. He is also survived by lifelong friends Barrie and Charmaine Skinner and family. Pete was predeceased by his brothers; Harold, Gord, Rod and Fred.
