Obituary of SPOTSWOOD – William Kenneth

July 10, 1935 – April 10, 2010 Ken Spotswood beloved husband of Alice Spotswood of Kelowna, BC, passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at the age of 74 years. Ken had a thirty-two year career with the Calgary Fire Department retiring as District Chief in 1989. Following his retirement he moved to Kelowna where enjoyed golf and was a competitive table tennis player. Ken is survived by two sons, Ken (Michelle) and Keith (Erin); six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Mona Jorginson and Vivian Schriebl; numerous nieces and nephews as well as Alice’s family, Rodney, Byron, Terry, Lorette, and Gaylene, seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Ken was predeceased by his first wife Stella Spotswood in 1990 and his sister Marj Albert. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Monday, April 19, 2010 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
