I am very sorry to hear of John’s passing. He was one of the most decent of many great people I call friends. What a great sense of humour and what a kind soul. Honesty and integrity are two other terms that come to mind. I will always remember the great adventures we had as kids and teens growing up on the crescents in Regina. Many current friends and acquaintances find remarkable that bond that was created in those days and which last for so many decades. I was very happy to spend a few hours with JFQ Burns over the last few years after not seeing him for a very long time. He always spoke lovingly and respectfully of the loves of his life: Jacquie and Ryan. Knowing John was a gift and even though I did not see a lot of him in recent times, I miss him already.
It was with deepest sorrow that I learned about John’s passing, my thoughts and prayers are with your entire family. John was a great man and wonderful friend. I will always cherish the opportunity to have known him.
