Obituary of REITER – BETTY DOREEN

September 3, 1931 – April 7, 2010 Betty beloved wife of the late Philip Reiter passed away on Wednesday April 7, 2010 at the age of 78 years. Betty was born in Rife, AB on September 3, 1931 to Edwin and Emcy Dunkin. She passed away after a two year battle against cancer. Betty loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids and great-grandkids. Betty was an avid outdoorswoman who loved horses, fishing and camping. She rode a motorcycle for the first time at the age of seventy-four, which was one of the highlights of her life. She discovered her talent of landscape painting and pursued this with passion. Her greatest joy was to see her wonderful extended family at reunions and celebrations. Betty Reiter is remembered by her sons, daughters and their spouses; Gordon Reiter (Chris), Stacy Reiter, Eugene Reiter, Carol Chin (Daniel), Chris Racz (Ronald), as well as fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers Edward Dunkin (Maxine), Russell Dunkin (Shirley), and Raymond Dunkin (Maryanne), and sisters Jean Labine and Lillian Labine (Earl). Betty was predeceased by her son Clifford Reiter, husband Philip Reiter, nephew Kevin Dunkin, and niece Dayle Dawson. At this time we will also be honouring her son Cliff Reiter who had predeceased Betty.
