Obituary of BARRASS – Robert Charles

September 11, 1939 – April 2, 2010 Robert Barrass, beloved husband of Elaine of Calgary, passed away suddenly in Hawaii on Friday, April 2, 2010 at the age of 70 years. Bob was born in Brisbane, Australia on September 11, 1939. He will be remembered for his dedication as a father and husband, his love of nature, passion for woodworking and devotion to his dogs. He was blessed to have enjoyed the wonderful company of many good friends over the years. Bob worked in the printing trade most of his life, retiring in 2007. In his earlier years, he enjoyed traveling throughout many countries, eventually residing in Thunder Bay, ON where he met and married his wife Elaine. Subsequently, they moved to Calgary. Bob is survived by Elaine Ruth Barrass, his wife of forty years, his son Robert Johan Barrass and daughter Kerry Lyn Barrass. Remaining to mourn him are sisters, Stella Brosing, Patsy Whitney; brother and sister-in-law Raymond and Marj Barrass of Brisbane, Australia; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his mother Marjorie Barrass and father Wilfred Barrass.
