Obituary of WILDMAN – Gerald

April 23, 1945 – March 25, 2010 When we come into this world we cry and everyone else rejoices. When we leave this world everyone else cries but we rejoice. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, grandfather, brother and uncle, Gerald (Steve) Wildman on Thursday, March 25, 2010. Gerald was born on April 23, 1945 in Morley, AB where he was educated and resided all his life. One of Gerry’s many passions was carpentry. He also loved his traditional way of life, hunting, sundances and gatherings. Hockey and rodeo were his sports of choice. He enjoyed playing defence for the Morley hockey teams. In later years, he loved watching his sons, grandchildren, nieces and nephews playing the game. Gerald’s Number One passion was Rodeo. He was a talented saddlebronc rider and later owned and operated the Foothills Rodeo Company. As a stock contractor his horses were well known in the rodeo circuits. He enjoyed his work of being a Chute Boss in the local rodeos. Gerald is remembered by his son Travin (Myrna); and his nine grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Harry (Karen), Cody (Anita); sisters Eilene, Jackie (Carver) and numerous extended family members and friends in Morley, Eden Valley and Hobbema. He was predeceased by his children, Twylla, Sean Rino, Adrelle, and Averelle; his parents Percy and Violet; sisters, Lorna and Frances; nephews Cody JR and Daryl. Wake Services will be held at the residence of the late Gerald Wildman (Morley, AB) on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Morley United Church (Morley, AB) on Monday, March 29, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Wesley Cemetery (Morley, AB).
