Obituary of CAVANAGH – Bernard James

April 9, 1928 – March 24, 2010 It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing at home of our father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother, Bernie Cavanagh, on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at the age of 81 years. Bernie had a long career with NCR which allowed him to travel the world. He loved to play golf, having memberships at Redwood Meadows and Priddis Greens. His final wish was to have his cremated remains scattered on his favourite hole, the 13th hole at Redwood Meadows, which overlooks the Elbow River and mountains. He will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Gary (Janis), Kevin (Sylvia) and Brian (Monica), step-sons Mark, Steve, Kirk and Scott, grandchildren, Kyle and Melissa (Jeremy), great grandchildren Brady and Mikey. Bernie is also survived by his brothers Brian, Larry and Vernon. Bernie was predeceased by his first wife Delphine, second wife Lois and son Ricky. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Laurence Anglican Church (5490 Lakeview Drive S.W.) on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
