Obituary of RUSSELL – Margaret

January 3, 1926 –March 10, 2010 Margaret Russell, of Calgary, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at the age of 84 years. Born in Calgary in 1926, Margaret Russell was the elder of two daughters of Calgary Alderman, Jack Russell and his wife Mary Jean. Predeceased by her younger sister Anne Dick, Margaret was a caring aunt to Anne’s children. Niece Elizabeth Haigh, nephews Robert (Kathy) and John (Karly) Haigh and their families, brother-in-law Colin Dick and his son David Dick, all cared dearly for Margaret. They will all miss her presence at family dinners and her ever present holiday cards. A true life-long Calgarian, Margaret had a dedicated career with the Calgary Public Library. In her final years, Margaret was a resident of Intercare Chinook Care Centre. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
