Obituary of MILTON – Betty Eileen

August 15, 1926 – March 10, 2010 Betty passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at the age of 83 years. Betty was born in Calgary on August 15, 1926. She will be forever in the hearts of her loving family Gerry (Heather) Milton, Lynne (Garry) Schmidt, Kathy (Keith) Tillotson, Wendy (Rob) Cornick and Scott (Anne) Milton. She leaves behind nine grandchildren, Phil and Mary Milton, Nikki Tillotson and Jen (Dave) Milz, Andrew and Chris Cornick, Darren Schmidt and Tyler and Sarah Milton as well as one great-grandchild, Kayla Milz and her brother Cliff [Judy]. She was predeceased by her husband, William Lorne Milton, her infant daughter Brenda, and great-grandchildren Justin and Ethan Milz. Betty was an amazing woman, and her love of family was evident in all she did. She worked for the Calgary Albertan and Sun until 1988 and served as President of the Royal Canadian Legion (Chapelhow Branch Ladies Auxilliary). She generously volunteered her time to many other worthwhile causes. Her favourite times were those spent on family camping trips, holidays at the Meadows and any gathering of family and friends. She was a kind and generous woman and focused on what was possible in life, never dwelling on limitations. She cherished her many friends and enjoyed the time she spent with them. We will miss her so much but will celebrate a life well-lived each day. We are very proud, mom, to have been a part of your life.
