Obituary of BEARCHIEF – Florence Judy

December 23, 1952 – March 7, 2010 It is with deep sorrow that the families of Judy Bearchief announce her passing on Sunday March 07, 2010 at the age of 57 years. In her early years Judy participated in barrel racing and basketball, and worked at Sarcee Finance Department, Recreation and Sarcee Builders. Judy was a very strong, loving and caring person. She would never turn anyone away. She loved life to the fullest. She had a wonderful sense of humor, she made everyone feel good. She was very dedicated to her children. She loved spending time with her son Brett and taking care of her mother. She was Grandma Judy to all. Judy leaves behind her children Jodi (Lee), Jackie (Jason), Kristi (Hollis), Brett, Sheridan (Ranford), adopted children Jolaine (Moses) and Darcie (Brandon), and the father of her children Gerald Bearchief, and her mother Dora Big Plume. Grandchildren, Pierce, Laila, Torrence, Shaylyn, Colemen, Keely, Ky and Hilary. Her siblings Gloria (Bill) Littlelight, Frank (Heather) Littlelight, Josephine (Mike) Cutknife, Betty (Jimmy) Roasting, Beverly (Leeroy) Meguinis, Kim (Peter) Lusty, Sonny Lusty and adopted sister Patricia Good Eye, inlaws Francis Littlelight, Theresa Big Plume and Gilbert Crowchild, her aunts Debra and Bertha Big Plume. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Judy was predeceased by her father Joe Big Plume, brothers Bradford Littlelight, Fred Littlelight, and Randy Big Plume, sister Lena Crowchild, nephew Jordie Buffalo, and her kokum Clara Big Plume. The family apologize if they missed anyone. Wake Services will be held at the residence of Dora BigPlume (Tsuu T’ina Nation, AB) today, March 10, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church (Tsuu T’ina Nation, AB). on Thursday March 11, 2010 at 12:00p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Tsuu T’ina Cemetery.
