Obituary of JOHNSON – Lloyd Eric

Born in The Pas, Manitoba on March 21, 1944, Lloyd passed away unexpectedly on March 5, 2010 at the age of 65. Lloyd is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 44 years, Patricia. He was a devoted father and will be deeply missed by his son Kelly (Anna) Johnson, his daughter Wendy (Warren) Coates, his four grandchildren he dearly loved, Evan, Sarah, Claire, and Ellery, his brother Mel, and younger sister Debra. Raised in Lynn Lake, Manitoba, Lloyd’s childhood was filled with exciting adventures, he loved to fish, hunt and trap with older brother Mel. In 1964 Lloyd moved to Calgary, and graduated from SAIT Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technology, and began his exceptional 45 year career in HVAC. Lloyd was happiest when surrounded by family and loved sharing stories. He had a boyish, lopsided grin that could light up a room and a natural way of making people feel special. He golfed rain or shine with his son Kelly and was especially thrilled when Patty decided to take up the game, they spent many happy days together on the course but sadly not enough. Lloyd was predeceased by his parents Ida and Maynard, younger brother Randy and baby granddaughter Lucy. Family and friends will gather to remember Lloyd on Friday, March 12, 2010 at 2:00 pm at McInnis & Holloway’s Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road SE).
