Obituary of FRISKE – Daisy

February 2, 1919 – February 27, 2010 Daisy Friske of Calgary went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at the age of 91 years. Daisy was born in Shell Lake, SK moved to Prince Albert, SK and has resided in Calgary since 1974. She worked for the City of Calgary until her retirement. Daisy was a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church in Prince Albert and Calgary as well as volunteered at Southwood United Church In From the Cold. She was also a member of the Grand Old Follies. Daisy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend and she will always be remembered for her kindness and generosity. Daisy is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law Joan and Bob Hall and Phyllis and Len Girling; two sons Doug Friske and Don Friske; twelve grandchildren, Wade Hall (Julie), Jason Turner, Ashley Shaw (Jon), Anika Yuzak, Brad Girling (Angie), Matt Girling, Kaley Herman (Jeff), Sala Friske, Samantha Friske, Cole Friske, Jarrod Friske and Mira Friske; four great-grandchildren, Jessica and Rebbecca Hall, Bria and Camden Shaw. She is also survived by her ninty-five year old sister Ruth Harris and numerous nieces and nephews. Daisy was predeceased by her husband Otto Friske in 1962, her parents and six brothers. A Memorial Service will be held at Evangelical Covenant Church (2404 Kensington Road N.W.) on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
