Obituary of Mary L. ARNASON

June passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2010. June was a much-loved second mother to Elaine Rutherford and Morley Arnason, and the beloved aunt of June Kirk. Her memory will live on with them, their families, many other nieces and nephews as well as numerous cherished friends; relationships that were carefully nurtured and sustained throughout her lifetime. As per June’s request, a private graveside service, conducted by the Lakeview United Church minister in Regina, will be held at the Regina Cemetery. June’s ashes will be inurned beside those of her late husband Barney Arnason. Her first husband, Henry Van Nes, was killed in active service in Europe during World War II.
