Obituary of BRANDENBURG – James Harlow

February 3, 1933 – February 24, 2010 It is with great sadness that the family of Jim Brandenburg announces his passing on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 after a courageous battle with liver cancer fought with dignity and optimism. Jim is lovingly remembered by his wife Myrna (nee: Stogre) and children Keren Brandenburg, Sean (Michelle) Brandenburg, Marney Bugg, Tracey (Garry) Naylor, Darcy (Murray) Flett, and six grandchildren. Jim was a deeply spiritual person and will always be remembered for his courage, sense of humour, musical talent and the love he shared with his family and friends. His fearless courage facing his illness set a standard those who loved him can only strive to attain. His enduring love and his forthright adherence to what he believed will comfort and guide us who remain throughout the rest of our lives. A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on March 4, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. The family would like to thank especially the doctors and nurses of Tom Baker Cancer Centre and Calgary Red Cross of the Calgary Health Region for their kindness and medical expertise, which enabled Jim to remain at home throughout his entire illness.
