Dear Cheryl and Aunt Lucy,

Words can’t express how sorry I am for your loss. I wish that I could be there with you on Sunday to say goodbye to Mark, but know that my thoughts and love are with you all. I remember when my mom Effie first told me that Mark was sick, and then too soon she called to say he was gone.

I will always remember Mark’s towering presence which seemed at odds with his gentle manner. I can’t think of a more kindhearted man. I will miss him.
