Obituary of GIESINGER – Leroy

August 19, 1942 – February 23, 2010 Leroy Giesinger, beloved husband of Linda Giesinger of Strathmore, passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at the age of 68 years. Leroy was born in Medicine Hat on August 19, 1942, to Martha and Tony Giesinger, a family of four with sister Diane. As a young adult he moved to Calgary where he met his wife, Linda. Linda and Leroy enjoyed living in the country where their children have many memories of growing up in Water Valley and Springbank. Leroy had a great love for animals, especially horses and fish. He was never one to be idle and had many hobbies, growing flowers, building and mostly his family. He involved himself in his children’s and grandchildren’s lives whenever opportunities presented. Leroy also had different occupations throughout his life but always had a passion for construction. This was fully realized when he created Trilogy Homes in Strathmore with his partners, son Bruce Giesinger and Brian Martin. Leroy would always lend a helping hand to family or friends; had a great sense of humour and had a kind word for everyone he met. Leroy was a man who was loved by all and will remain in the hearts of many. Besides his loving wife, Leroy is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Dan and Jodi Giesinger and Bruce and Sharon Giesinger; a daughter and son-in-law Tracy and Mike Toole; five grandchildren, Jordan, Hannah, Hayley, Emily and John. He is also survived by his mother Martha Giesinger and sister Diane Biggs and her family. Leroy was predeceased by his father Tony Giesinger. A private family gathering will be held.
