Obituary of ESPEY – Shirley Louise

April 16, 1928 – February 22, 2010 Shirley Espey passed away peacefully on Monday, February 22, 2010 at the age of 81 years. She is survived by daughter Kathy Coonfer (Cliff) of Olds; son Alan Espey (Pat) of Calgary; granddaughters, Shari Leedahl (Linus) of Sundre and Beth Espey (Doug) of Calgary; grandsons, Craig Espey (Renae) of Calgary and Jeff Leedahl (Jacquie) of Red Deer; and great grandchildren, Easton and Elyssa Leedahl, Kaitlyn and Sean Espey, and Jaycee and Carlee Clark; and her sisters, Ruth Shaw, Lola Kelly and Addie Bell, all of Ontario. She was predeceased by her husband Dave; infant son James Douglas; sister Doris Hall; and brothers, Neil and Noel Wagner. Shirley was born in Toronto, Ontario and moved to Calgary with her family in1959. In her more active days, she enjoyed dancing, bowling, golf and cross-country skiing. She always enjoyed card games, crossword puzzles, scrabble and word games. There was nothing like a very bad pun to bring a smile to her face. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Monday, March 1, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
