Obituary of DASE – Kenneth Ken Eric

February 28, 1944 – February 21, 2010 On Sunday February 21, 2010 our world became smaller, as we lost a very special and dear man. Ken left us suddenly one week shy of his 66th birthday. He will always be lovingly remembered by his soul mate, wife and best friend of thirty-four years Adriana and by our precious puppy Tia. Ken will always be in the hearts of his son Ken (Melisa) Dase of Ventura, California; his brother Ray (Diane) Dase; his sister Gloria Crawford of Vernon; nephews Neil and Tyler Dase, niece Denise (Chad) Marsh and son Jace of Vernon; nephew Trevor Crawford and daughter Naomi, and niece Shelly Crawford and daughter Kayla of Calgary; brother-in-laws Bill DeWilde of Calgary and Son Bill of Thunder Bay, Ontario; Ken (Laurie) DeWilde and children Trista, Devin and Teagan DeWilde all of Calgary; and his “other” sister and best friend Cheryl Jennings and her daughter Crystal Proctor. There are so many loved ones that have saved a special place for our Ken in their arms in heaven. Waiting are his mom Elizabeth, his dad Ludwig, mother-in-law Faith DeWilde, father-in-law Bill DeWilde, brother-in-law Dennis Crawford and Barry Robertson and his beloved puppies Camie, Tasha and Magic. Ken always felt he led a charmed life and was there to share it with his family and friends. Ken always said if he should die tomorrow, he would have no regrets. He had done more in his life then he could ever imagine. He was such a special person that would do anything for anyone. He will be missed more than words can say. Ken worked for Eaton’s for thirty-four years and was Store Manager at Southcentre in Calgary when he retired in 1997. He spent his time since then doing what he loved best, working with computers and traveling to the sunny south a few times a year with Adriana, his sister Gloria and his friends Cheryl Jennings, Bob and Julie Wiens and Bob and Judy Herder. A Celebration of Ken’s Beautiful Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Friday, February 26, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. An additional service will be held at the Bethel Funeral Chapel (5605 27 Street, Vernon BC) on Monday, March 1, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
