Condolences
I miss you very much, Dr. Wilson. You were a genuine, sincere, caring and loving man. I know
that you really cared about me as a person and about my health. I came into see you many
times complaining about this and that, and you were always ready with a hug and a smile. My
life is not the same without you, and I have put off looking for a new doctor, because I know that
I will never find one again that will be as good to be as you were. May Heaven be a happy place
for you, and may you be duly blessed for allof the wonderful things you did to serve your
fellow man and help out in many capacities. GOD BLESS YOU! and may I see you again.
Dear Mrs. Wilson,
It is Marionette from Bermuda. I am so sorry it has been over a year and I have just found out that you lost your husband. I pray that God sustaining comfort, love and peace has kept you and your family. I thought it was odd last year when your Christmas card returned to me. My prayer is that you press on as you hold onto the years you spent with Lowen.
Bertha I have just heard about Lowen’s death in February from a neighbour.
I am so sorry Bill and I missed the announcement . WE were away all of March.
We recall sharing times together at CLL. Bill and the neighbour visited Lowen at Ranchlands Clinic. We also shared your love of cruising and of course our many discussions of education. Bertha we hope your fond memories of fifty years will sustain the future. Lowen will be missed by many.
Dearest Bertha. It is now May but we have just learned of Lowen’s passing from a neighbour. We missed it entirely in February and was in South America all of March.
Such fond memories we have. He tended to Bill and our neighbour at the Ranchlands clinic and so often participated in our CLL Seminars. Our thoughts often go to both of you and our shared love of cruising. Now we will think of you and hope these fond memories sustain your future.
Hi Bertha. I am so sorry to hear about your husband. I know you always had such a great time together. Take care, Love Nancy
May our Lord comfort you & your family with His healing presence & gift of peace. We know that people have been richly blessed by Dr. Wilson, as a physician & friend. May you receive an outpouring of love & support throughout this difficult time.
With Love in Christ,
Marilyn & Steve
Dr. Wilson and Family
I was so saddened to hear of Dr. Wilson’s passing.
He had been my doctor since I was 16 years old. I thought it was wonderful that he took up practice in Calgary just a year after I had moved there sparing me the task of finding a new doctor.
In June of 1979 he gave me the good news that I was pregnant with my daughter. In July of 2006 he was able to give that daughter the good news that she was pregnant with her daughter.
He also attended to my granddaughter on occasion, so you see, he looked after three generations of my family. He would often tell the other patients in the waiting room in Calgary that he had the pleasure of bringing my daughter into the world and that it was okay if he was tough on me as he had known me for so long.
He saw me through the deaths of my sister and my parents.
He was a kind and caring man and I will miss him.
My sincere sympathy to you and your family at this time.
Patty Naegeli

Love from Kathi and Luc Lalonde.
Bertha,
I am so sorry to hear of Lowen’s passing. My deepest sympathy to you and your family, as I keep you in my thoughts and prayers. May your many wonderful memories bring you comfort.
God Bless.

So sorry to hear of your loss. I remember fondly all the time I spent at your house as a young girl when Fiona and I were best buddies. The one thing I remember is what good a Dad that Dr Wilson was to Alastair and Fiona, as I am certain he was a fine Grandfather as well. My deepest sympathies to you all MaryLou
Dear Bertha,
Sandy and I were so sorry that we were unable to attend the funeral service today remembering and honouring the life of your husband, Lowen.
I have very good memories of Lowen. I believe he became my doctor in 1967 and I guess that would be shortly after you came to Canada. I remember thinking what a good looking doctor he was! Then, I was a teacher with Drumheller Valley when he was a trustee.
I think I knew Lowen was involved with Banff Mens` Conference – I saw his picture in the Observer and I believe it was to do with the conference.
About 2 years ago I was eating supper in the Station Restaurant in Strathmore and I ran into Lowen there. We had a little visit. It was good to see him and I have that memory of him tucked into my mind.
My best wishes and prayers are with you and your family Bertha. I know you will miss Lowen. After the death of my Mom 2 years ago, one of the cards we received had this written on it and I liked it. It said,
“When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure.”
Sincerely,
JoAnn
Dear Dr. Wilson
My deepest sympathy to you and your family on the loss of a wonderful man, your dear husband and father. He was a true gentleman and a very kind and caring physician. He touched everyone with whom he came in contact. I feel privileged to have known and worked with him.
May you be comforted by wonderful memories. My thoughts are with you in your time of sorrow.
with love
Dr. Michele Moss
My sincerest thoughts of love and kindness go to all who were privileged to have loved Dr. Wilson. My most endearing memory of him is as simple as a hug request and the attraction of small animals who know who they can trust. Gods speed kind fellow… Gods speed. Love Brad and Mona with wee brown dogs.
Dear Fiona,
John and I would like to extend our condolences to your entire family in the passing of your Dad. He was our “family Doc” for the last few years we lived in Calgary. We always got to catch up on your news when we had a visit with him. The things I appreciated the most about him were that wonderful sense of being in a small town doctors office, the dog, the slippers and his wonderful sense of humor. We are grateful that his life touched ours.

Bertha and Family,
I was saddened to learn of the passing of Lowen. I have many fond memories of our associations through the years including the years you were in Drumheller and he was chairman of the school board. He was a fine gentleman who accomplished much through his medical practice and service to the community. You can take comfort in the many wonderful years you had together as a couple and the many wonderful memories you have as a family. Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the memorial service. We will be in Saskatchewan this weekend with my mother-in-law who is very ill. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of great loss.
Sincerely,
Garry McKinnon
What a shock it was this morning to read of Dr. Wilson’s passing. To us, he was a caring compassionate family doctor and a very dear friend. Being from Belfast we had much in common. I have the pictorial collage of “People and Landscape: IRELAND” that hung in Dr. Wilson’s office hanging above my computer desk. He gave it to me and we cherish it very much. It may be the last prescription he gave me with the words, “GUINNESS IS GOOD FOR YOU!” on it Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Dear Wilson Family,
I was saddened to read about the loss of your husband, father and grandfather, Dr. Wilson.
He was my doctor when I was a little girl and I remember him as always being a very kind, caring man.
I found it interesting to read that he loved his Dachshund, Nicco. I remember your family having a little Dachshund named Rudy and how often I would see him walking that little guy.
To my friend, Fiona: take care and keep
all the wonderful memories of your dad close to your heart.
Thinking of you,
Aileen Jackson
