Obituary of DUBON RECINOS – Pedro Pablo

June 29, 1939 – February 18, 2010 Pedro Pablo ‘Pablito’ Dubon Recinos sadly passed away at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre. Pablo was born in the town of Arcatao, El Salvador, and arrived in Canada in 1987. He was an educator and fervent contributor for the betterment of life in his native El Salvador. Pablo was one of the founders/directors of the National Teacher’s Union (ANDES 21 de Junio) in El Salvador and also the director of the 1st Spanish speaking radio show “Buscando America” for 16 years in Calgary. Pablo is survived by his wife of 39 years, Maribel; sons Sergio, Hugo and Pablo; mother-in-law Julia; daughter-in-law Bernice; and grandson Julian in Calgary. He is also survived in El Salvador by his brother Efraín and sisters Aracely and Lilian; as well as many nephews, nieces and friends. Pablito’s favorite moments in life were the birth of his 3 sons and his grandson. An avid reader of news and Salvadorean history, his simple pleasures in life were to see his grandson grow, a good cup of coffee and the many funny conversations with his dear friend Jorge. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Eastside Memorial Chapel (5388 Memorial Drive N.E.) on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. In living memory of Pablo Dubon, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Eastside Memorial Chapel, 5388 MEMORIAL DRIVE N.E.
