Kurt, Rudi, Rita and Family,

I just found out the passing of your mom… I just got back Feb 24 from a time out of the country. I always enjoyed meeting your mom at First Mennonite, when I went to visit. She was a special lady with a great sense of humour…her mom (Tante Berta), who was my Sunday School teacher, was also a very special and loved person!

I pray that the LORD comfort your family during this difficult time…but we can rejoice knowing that your mom is face-to -face with Jesus right now!

We were blessed to meet Hilde & Gerhard on a cruise in Nov, 2008, when out of a ship of 3000 we were seated at their table for dinner. They welcomed us & we formed a bond immediately-found out we lived very close in Calgary. Hilde & Gerhard made every night special & we kept in touch through calls & email. We will miss her smile & sense of humor. Our love & prayers go out to Gerhard & the entire family. Hilde was one in a million.

Dear Rita, we are very sorry for you, your father and your whole family! We were reading all your emails and we were thinking at you and your mother lots of time. It must be hard for you, but we think the time of suffering was short for your mother – that’s good for her.
