That was the beginning of a 68 year long love story and a 62 year marriage. She was either first or second in her class all throughout her school career and excelled in university. She received her undergraduate degree, B. Ed. with a major in science, at the University of Saskatchewan. She worked in the RCAF as a cadet during the summers in Saskatoon.
