Obituary of MacLAREN – Blair Eric

February 19, 1924 – February 17, 2010 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful but surprise passing of Blair MacLaren on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at the Peter Lougheed Centre. Blair was born in Brudenell, PEI and was a veteran of WWII. Blair travelled the globe during his career as a geophysicist until he finally settled in Calgary and lived here since 1972 where he ran a successful business until his retirement in 1987. Blair will be greatly missed by his wife of forty-nine years Hazel; daughter Cindy; son Paul (Gwenda); and grandchildren, Justin and Josie; as well as his brother Bruce (Betty); sister Phyllis; and numerous nieces and nephews. Blair was predeceased by his sister Jenny and brother Ken. A Family Celebration will be held at a later date. In keeping with Blair’s wishes, funeral services will not be held.
