Obituary of MERRETT – Ailsa Ruth

May 28, 1928 – February 15, 2010 It is with deep sadness that the family of Ailsa Ruth Merrett announces her passing on Monday, February 15, 2010 at the age of 81 years. Ailsa was born in Calgary and in her younger years was very active in sports and at one stage was the Calgary Ladies’ Singles Badminton Champion. She is survived and will be sadly missed by her husband of 52 years Dennis, daughter Susan, sister Esther Emmett and family. Ailsa spent many years traveling abroad accompanying her husband who was in the oil business and they retired back to Calgary in 1989. The family has decided to hold a celebration in honour of Ailsa’s life at a later date. Ailsa was a great animal lover, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ailsa’s name may be made directly to the Calgary Humane Society. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
