Obituary of NIELSEN – Ib Palle Alfred

March 1, 1922 – February 10, 2010 Ib Nielsen, beloved husband of Gyda Nielsen of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at the age of 87 years. Ib emigrated from Denmark with his family in 1956 after he was approached by Calgary Brewery for his specialties and had a 29 year career there. Ib was also very active with the Danish Lutheran Church and the Calgary Interfaith Food Bank. Besides his loving wife of sixty-three years, Ib is survived by two children Henrik Nielsen and Susanne Meyer; two grandchildren Jenn Soum and her husband Shane and Chris Meyer and his wife Laura; and four great-grandchildren, Alyson, Brianna, Joshua, and Samantha. Funeral Services will be held at Danish Lutheran Church (130 – 32nd Avenue N.W.
