Once again our paths intersect. The Second St. rearguard is leaving the post, memories swirl like dust.
For his typical failings your father was kind to me on the few occasions we spoke. In his way he was true to some inner sense of where he needed to be, I could see that in him. Would it not be a great thing to remember only the good he left behind? Not easy, I know, but that’s where the love is.
In innocence I have always loved you both, the ‘sweet older girls’ of my magical moments of youth. My wish for you is to connect with that charm that is the special appeal to the time in which we are born. I wish you well.
