Condolences
Vic and I had fun at Terrace Gardens. I recorded some of his songs to CD from tape. We also shared some other fun times as well. Vic, You will be missed.
My deepest sympathy to the family on the loss of your father and grandfather. Vic worked for me at Norcen and was a very valued employee. Norcen benefited greatly as Vic made some very significant discoveries.
To the Sweetnam Family,
Your family is forever woven in the tapestry of my life. I loved the times we all spent together with your father’s gentle spirit around us. Your Dad continued to stay in touch with me over the years to let me know about his musical endeavours. I felt very honoured that he would want to share his music with me and for that I will always be grateful.
Blessings to you all during this time of loss.
Much love
Deanna
Dear Garth, Shari, Greg and Gary,
I was so sorry to hear of your Dad’s passing. I believe the last time I saw him was at Uncle Ken’s service, and we had a nice visit and many laughs. He always had a smile and interest for what everyone was up to. So sorry that we couldn’t be there today, but our thoughts and prayers are with you,
Love, Karen and family
With sorrow and deepest condolences to the Sweetnam family. As Greg’s childhood friend, I remember his dad as an affectionate and caring man. I have some heart warming stories that will always remain with me. May Mr. Sweetnam rest in peace.
We extend our sympathies to the Sweetnam family, including grand-daughter Jill, on the loss of their dad and grand-dad.
I was honored to care for Victor for a few days while he was in hospital. Although in a time of struggle, there was a brightness in his eyes and a perseverance through trial in his character. He was someone I was able to connect with, and his passing is heavy on my heart. My condolences go to his family during this time, especially his children. He seems like one that gave a lot to others. May he have the peace now he was searching for, and may He be remembered as one who did it “My Way”.
Gary:
My sincere thoughts are with you in your time of mourning.May you remember all the good times forever!
God Bless.
Dear Garth, Greg, Gary & Shari
I’m so very sorry you’ve lost your Dad.
I last saw Uncle Victor at my Dad’s funeral and realized then how alike they were – kind and loving, great sense of humor, love of music – true gentlemen.
Doug and I are in Palm Springs so regretfully will not be able to attend the funeral but please know I am thinking of you and remembering Uncle “Mike” with love.
Gary & Family
Your dad coached me in hockey and soccer for many years. I will always remember him as a very thoughtful and caring coach who displayed genuine concern for all of his players. He was an excellent coach, teacher, and mentor. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Vic was a good friend of mine. We sang together every Saturday. Most of the songs were golden oldies like ourselves. Vic loved performing. He loved an audience. Although dogged by mental illness, Vic strove to overcome this at all times. He was a very generous person. He was much loved and will be sorely missed.
My prayers are with you Dad, although I cannot be there physically for your funeral please know my spirit/our spirits are connected and forever you are in my thoughts. I am sad that I wasn’t there to see you these last few years. We share a common bond, that of mental illness. We sure had some good games of ping pong (knip knop). Again the memories will never fade. God Speed. Your daughter, Shari
