Obituary of WILDMAN – Neil Charles

April 2, 1963 – January 25, 2010 It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of Neil Wildman, on Monday, January 25, 2010. Neil was born on April 2, 1963 in Marston Green, England. Neil was a loving husband and father and passed away after a short and courageous battle with cancer. Neil was raised in Solihull, England where he attended Art College; receiving a diploma in Graphic Design. He always lived life with a sense of adventure and immigrated to Canada in 1987 to pursue that adventure. It was there he met the love of his life Dolena and had two beautiful children Brandon, 14 and Evan 11. He pursued many sporting interests such as cricket, rugby, bobsledding, skeleton, skiing and was always a “Brit” at heart. He had a passion for painting Napoleonic miniatures which he often did in his spare time. Neil was a dedicated family man who always put his family first. He worked for Telus for 15 years and later worked for Projex Technologies. Neil was pre-deceased by his father Ron Wildman in 2008 and will be deeply missed by his wife Dolena and sons Brandon and Evan as well as his Mother (Pam) and sister Lucy (Carl) Hollies, as well as his parents in law (Liz and Don McPhail) and sister in law Gayle (Chris) Chambers, and nieces and nephews, Derek, Melissa, Matthew and Colin. As well as many friends and acquaintances that he met through his work and love of sports. A Celebration of Neil’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 3:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. In lieu of flowers, a trust fund for Brandon and Evan Wildman has been set up at Royal Bank of Canada (5717 Signal Hill Centre SW, Calgary, Alberta T3H 3P8) or directly to Liz McPhail.
