Condolences
Our involvement with Bruce was through both the Town of Peace River and Rotary. Bruce was a very staunch supporter of the Rotary Youth Exchange program, hosting inbound students from various countries.
Although we lost touch with Bruce in 2006, we picked it up through the commonality of our fight with cancer (Jim’s). Bruce and I sent messages of support back and forth over the past couple of years, and Bruce’s outlook and optimism during his battle were inspirational.
Rest in peace Bruce.
Know that my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time and I wish that I could be there with you to share your sorrow and joy. May God bless you and give you comfort through the coming weeks.

I first met Bruce when I worked for the Town of Peace River and he was the Municipal Treasurer. Our paths crossed many times, including a stint working together in Lacombe, Alberta. Bruce was a mentor and a friend. Bruce was a man of strong integrity. He faced adversity with strength and character, treated his staff with respect, and generously shared the credit for his many successes with his staff. I am fortunate to have known Bruce. May God bless you.

I was truly saddened to hear of the passing of a fellow administrator and friend, Bruce. I have known Bruce ever since he was Secretary-treasurer for the Northlands School Division and then as CAO for different municipalities in the Peace District. I will always remember him for his kindness and helpful demeanor.
Bruce and I first met and became friends when he began to work for the Town of Peace River. When he later returned to Peace River as Secretary Treasurer for the Peace River School Division we often connected for professional and personal reasons. Unfortunately after I retired in 2004 and Bruce moved away from Peace River we only communicated one last time. I was very saddened to hear that he was fighting a battle with cancer.
One feels privilaged to meet and work with people who have integrity, a strong work ethic and the ability to get along with everyone. Bruce was that kind of person and I do indeed feel privilaged to have known him, to have worked with him, and to be able to call him my friend.
Farewell Bruce… our prayers are with you.

We feel so far away here in Africa, but our hearts and thoughts are with you all. We truly love Bruce and will miss him. Jordan will miss “his kindness”, and Taylor remembers his uncle as “a helpful man. He was always nice to me”. We have so many wonderful memories of Bruce that we will cherish always.
Love, Rita, Taylor, and Jordan
May our Lord bless you and give you strength. May your memories be a source of comfort to you.
Please accept my sincerest condolences. I hired Bruce into the municipal workforce and worked with Bruce on the SLGM over the years. Through this connection we became good friends. Bruce’s integrity and sense of humour were just two of his great traits. He will be sadly missed by his collegues.
My condolences to Katheryn and family – this is a difficult time. Bruce and I crossed paths many times through the municipal network and Bruce always represented a professional and knowledgeable individual in municipal government. We will miss him.
Blessings.
