Obituary of ISMOND – Hazel Taylor

June 18, 1928 – January 20, 2010 Hazel beloved wife of Lyall Ismond of Cochrane, passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at the age of 81 years. Hazel was born in Regina on June 18, 1928 and spent her youth in Fort Qu’ Appelle, Saskatchewan. She married Lyall Ismond in the United Church at Fort Qu’ Appelle on November 10, 1951. They started their lives in Saskatchewan, moving to Alberta in 1958. Hazel loved horses and she and Lyall enjoyed 35 wonderful years on their acreage in Bragg Creek before moving to Cochrane. Hazel happily worked for over 30 years as a dental receptionist in downtown Calgary. Hazel could always brighten up a room with the sparkle in her eye and infectious laugh. She always made everyone feel special and she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all the lives she touched. Hazel is survived by her loving husband Lyall; sister, Peggy (Don) Baugh; brother, Peter (Jean) Flett; brother -in-law Wes (Rita) Ismond; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service to Celebrate Hazel’s life will be held at a later date. You may forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
