Condolences
Even though I remember her very vaguely, I was a student of her dad’s Alexander, he taught me Russian. I did know of her, as a young child. Now I am taking care of her dad’s Zuckerberg Island House, planted flowers and enjoying just being there. It is now a special place to visit in Castlegar.
Would love to get to know her family if possible.
Ron, Nina and Rita: My deepest sympathy in the passing of your mother. I treasure fond memories of friendship with your parents during their time in Winnipeg and I am sure they are greatly missed by you and your families. My sincere condolences to all.

Please accept our sincere sympathy on the loss of your mother. She was definitely a grand lady! I have fond memories of both your parents. My parents and yours spent a lot of good times together both in Victoria and in Winnipeg.
I was so sorry to get a phone call from Palma Ledger last night to tell me that Asta had died a few days ago. Palma and I spent time remembering the wonderful times we had together in the Winnipeg neighbourhood nearly 40 years ago. What fun we had — and how we all supported each other. These are times that we all will always remember.
I send you all my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. If you are near Hornby Island, please come and visit again.
Love from Lynn Robertson
I am very sorry for your loss. Asta used to participate in my fitness class. She was always very cheerful and I will miss her.
Although it has been quite a few years since we last saw Asta & Ron we fondly remember our friend and neighbour from Shakespeare Avenue in Winnipeg. We had some good times with them. So it is with sadness that we read about her death. Please accept our sincere sympathy for a life well lived. She will be missed by her family.
Palma and Blair Ledger
