Obituary of LAVERS – Richard James

April 12, 1938 – January 19, 2010 It is with sadness in our hearts that we say goodbye to our devoted husband, loving father and giving friend Dick Lavers. Dick died peacefully in his home of forty years on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 after his valiant battle with cancer. He is survived by his beloved wife of forty-three years, Betty; sister Carroll; daughter Heather (Tim); son Doug (Coreen); as well as his precious granddaughter, Samantha, who brought him so much joy. Dick was a Master Electrician and successful owner of Soderberg Electric for twenty eight years. Dick had an unyielding passion for gardening and was an avid golfer, joining the Elbow Springs Golf Club in 1992. A Celebration of Dick’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Monday, January 25, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
