Looking for adventure Beryl and Frank immigrated to Canada with their four young children in May of 1966 aboard the ship ‘Empress of Canada’. Her first home in her new country was Owen Sound, Ontario until 1972, when Beryl and her family moved to Calgary. Beryl was actively involved in her community wherever she lived and was a founding member of Penbrooke Meadows Community Association in Calgary, with Frank. After her beloved husband Frank passed away in 1984, Beryl found a loving companion when she met and married Robert (Bob) Jones on May 31, 1986. He renewed her spirit and her life. Beryl enjoyed seeing the world, and together with Bob, visited different countries, the high point being a wonderful trip to Egypt and Israel. Beryl and Bob lived for a short time in Langley, B.C., and Penticton, B.C., before relocating to High River where Beryl made many good friends. Beryl had two creative passions, painting and sewing. She expressed her creativity through paintings and sketches of landscapes and wildlife and lovingly created treasures of quilts and stuffed animals for her family. Her love of sewing turned into a successful career as Western Canadian Regional Manager for Fabricland from 1979 to 1996. Her greatest love however, was her family and cherished time spent with children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be missed so much by her family and friends throughout Canada and England.
