Obituary of HOOD – Margaret Edith

December 25, 1930 – January 16, 2010 Margaret Edith Hood of Calgary passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at the age of 79 years. Margaret was born in Crossfield, AB on December 25, 1930 and lived most of her life in Calgary. She took great joy in being a homemaker and baking for various farmers markets for many years. She is best known for her endless hours of knitting most of which she donated. Margaret will be remembered as a loving and wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and the greatest neighbour. She was a strong, determined and compassionate person. Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her six children, John (Theresa), Helen (Doran), Marylin (Gordon), Donna (Alan), Bonnie (Randy), and Deborah; as well as her ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Margaret was predeceased by her first husband. A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
