November 27, 1946 – January 15, 2010
Trudy Murray passed away at the Foothills Country Hospice after a courageous battle with cancer on Friday, January 15, 2010 at the age of 63 years.
Trudy loved reading and crocheting in her spare time. Trudy was born in Edmonton and grew up in Red Deer, AB. After getting her undergraduate degree in Calgary followed later by a Masters degree from Oregon, her career as a school therapist and clinical psychologist took her to Abbotsford, BC, then to Yellowknife, NWT for thirteen years and finally Cochrane, AB where she has been the school therapist at the Stoney Nation school at Morley since 2004. Trudy will be sadly missed by the children, families, teachers and members of the Morley community that she worked with for the past five years.
Trudy was predeceased by her father, Thomas H. Murray in 1995. Trudy leaves behind her mother, Joan White and her husband, Cy of Cochrane, AB; her loving brother Brian, his wife, Bonnie; and nephews, Sean (Nadine) and Ryan (Meghan). Her very special great-nephew Braeden will miss his Grand Aunt Toodie. Trudy is also survived by youngest sister Ina (Ryan) of Tumbler Ridge, BC, her nephew Jordan (Beth) of Edmonton, AB, and brother, Neil and Jullin and family in Key Largo, Florida.
She loved Emma and Idgy, her faithful puppies for so long. She will be happy to be reunited with them. Trudy will be greatly missed by her family, friends and many students.
