Obituary of BROWN – Barbara Jean

August 24, 1929 – January 15, 2010 Barbara Jean Brown of Calgary passed away on Friday, January 15, 2010 at the age of 80 years. Barbara was born in Nanton, AB and moved to Turner Valley early in life. In 1949, Barbara married Gordon and relocated to Midnapore, where they lived on the acreage until 1977, at which time they moved across the street to the new subdivision. Barbara was employed with Stampede Park for over thirty-five years. She enjoyed family, friends and a game of golf or curling with the Big Four Ladies. Barbara is survived by her five children, Rick (Marilyn), Randy (Jean), Sharon, Ken (Kelly) and Clint (Gennie); as well as her grandchildren, Jason, Wade, Lori, Rhonda, Mike and April; and eight great-grandchildren. Barbara was predeceased by her husband Gordon and sister Audrey.
