Condolences
Dearest
Aunt Karine, Heather, Douglas, Ashley, Megan
Our hearts are with you and we are thinking of everyone. We all wish we could be there to share some laughter, tears and especially a great big hug. Everyone of us have very fond memories of Garnet as a brother and uncle and he will always be in our hearts. We as a family will be making a donation to the Waterside Cemetery Fund in memory of Garnet.
Lots of love

My heart is with you all now, I only wish I could be there.
He was my hero in so many ways. He and Karine took a frightened little 12 year old in, whose world had turned upside down and taught her about love, family and courage to continue on, for that I shall never forget and be forever grateful. He shared my secrets and my fears, he gave me answers to questions, I dare not ask anyone else. He gave me peace and the courage to go on. Knowing he was only a plane ride away was always comforting. Even as the years passed without seeing him, I knew he was there, a phone call away, I felt safe.
He was my hero and inspiration, his life before he met Karine was never easy but he forged on, always with a smile, he never let bitterness in. He didn’t look back in anger, but with love and forgiveness, which was so him.
When I met Karine and stayed with them I knew he had found his soul mate. They were such a handsome couple, always smiling at each other. Supporting each other in their mutual decisions.
He touched so many lives here with his kindness of spirit. My parents loved him, I think my father thought of him as a son. He was so proud of him.
Our hearts go out to you all now at the loss of such an amazing husband, father and grandfather. I know your loss is deep, but he is so much a part of all of you, he will always be with you. He is in your hearts and souls, forever with you. We love you all…Valerie, David, Angela, Tara and Nicholas
