Obituary of RUNKVIST – Einar Edwin

July 28, 1947 – January 12, 2010 It is with extreme sadness we announce the passing of a great man, Einar Runkvist, beloved husband of Shelley Runkvist (nee Zachow) of Airdrie, AB. Einar passed away from complications of cancer on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at the age of 62 years. Einar was born July 28, 1947 on the family farm in Waitville, SK. He was an honest hard working individual who dedicated himself to his loving wife and family who are eternally grateful to have had him in their lives. Einar is survived by a son Blake (Cori) Runkvist; daughters, Angelene (George) Agbeyaka, and Chalyn (Kelly) Winfield; eight grandchildren, Spencer, Shannah, Kyla-Marie, Aysa, Nikaylah, Alexis, Geselle and James; two sisters, Alpha Harper and Petra (Victor) Arp; two brothers, Ole Runkvist and Swen Runkvist; and many nieces and nephews. Einar was predeceased by his father Eric Runkvist; mother Florence Runkvist (nee Hansen); brother-in-law Bill Harper; and nephew James Harper. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Airdrie Funeral Home (300 Towerlane Drive, Airdrie, Alberta) on Saturday, January 16, 2010 with viewing at 12:30 p.m. and Funeral Service at 1:30 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Airdrie Cemetery.
