Obituary of KOSTEL – Walter Andrew

April 09, 1938 – January 11, 2010 Wally passed away peacefully on Monday, January 11, 2010 at the age of 71 surrounded by his loving family. He will be remembered by his wife, Linda, son Ryan and mother in law Joan Whayman. Wally was born and raised in Calgary. After graduating from University he became a professional landman and was employed with Texaco Oil, Dome Petroleum and his final years until his retirement with the Federal Government Department of Indian and Northern Affairs. He enjoyed many sports, particularly golf and skiing. He had many happy memories of time spent at our summer retreat at Twin Lakes in Northern Idaho. He was predeceased by his parents, Steve and Sophie Kostelny and his only sister Anne Mateush. He leaves to mourn cousins in Alberta and B.C.
