Condolences
So sorry to read of Jerry’s death. Jerry and Vernice sat with us many times at the RCEME functions. We always enjoyed their company. We are unable to attend Jerry’s service as we are in Holland, for the birth of twin granddaughters.
Sincerely, Victor and Helen Pick
To the Conway Family. Jerry was a well respected member of RCEME and of the RCEME Association. I was particularly impressed with his unselfishness to his military comrades and friends. I will always remember our last lunch together in December when we shared some old “war stories”. Unfortunately, I cannot attend Jerry’s funeral as I will be visiting my daughter in Camrose on Tuesday where she is struggling with her fight with cancer. I am sorry that I cannot be with you to celebrate Jerry’s life, but I know that he would understand, being the man that he was. My prayers are with you at this sad time. L.(Tex)Leugner, RCEME.
It is with great personal sorrow to hear of Jerry’s passing. It was only last Thursday Jan 7th where as he was always a part of the monthly get to gether of old RCEME guys at the Horton Rd. Legion, we asked each other “Where is Jerry?”
He was and is well respected. He will be greatly missed by us all.
I was sad to hear of Jerry’s passing. We soldiered together in Soest, Germany in 1966-7, and in Calgary 1973 – 4. He was a good soldier and a very practical NCO. We last saw each other at the RCEME 50th Birthday Party in Calgary in May 1994. My condolences to his family.
