Obituary of ROWLAND – Priscilla

June 28, 1905 – January 5, 2010 Priscilla passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at the age of 104 years. Priscilla was born on June 28, 1905 in Carrington, North Dakota. She immigrated to Warner, AB and then moved to Aldersyde, she married Clifford Rowland November 22, 1930. They moved to Calgary in 1947 and has lived in North Calgary since. Priscilla was the oldest member of the Southern Alberta Pioneers Association. She loved playing bridge and was a wonderful cook. She took pride in looking her best and always made others feel welcome. Priscilla will be dearly missed by her grandchildren, Stephen Burger (Susanne) of Calgary, Dan Pedersen of Calgary, Jennifer Scott of Montreal, Ann Burger of Vancouver, Mary Kenny (Brent), Frances Rowland (Matt), Cindy Burger, Denise Rowland, Zoe Fullerton (Dick) and Gina Christopher-Shah (Norm) all of Calgary; fifteen great grandchildren and many dear friends and relatives. She was predeceased by her husband Clifford, sons Patrick and Dennis; daughters Kay Pedersen and Dixie Shah. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Thursday, January 7, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church (5340 – 4 Street S.W.) on Friday, January 8, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
