Obituary of McMURRAY – Frederick James

July 30, 1934 – January 4, 2010 Jim McMurray beloved husband of Isabell McMurray of Calgary, passed peacefully away on January 4, 2010 at the age of 75 years. Jim grew up in the Bow Island District and in 1957 he married Isabell Birkhiem. They made their home in Calgary where Jim worked with Canadian Natural Gas Company for over 35 years in various divisions. Jim and Isabell raised their family of two boys, Doug and Cym and enjoyed the many activities they were involved in. Jim especially loved the outdoors, and had a great passion for fishing and music. Jim is survived by his loving wife, Isabell; sons and daughters-in-law, Doug and Jennifer and Cym and Lisa; four grandsons, Jonathan, Jarrod, Robert and Richard; one sister, Donna (Ken) Reid; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by parents, Dick and Sadie and one sister, Eleanor. A Celebration of Jim’s life will be held at the Scandanavian Centre (739-20th Ave NW) on Saturday, January 23, 2010 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. You may forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
